(meaning "I CAN DO IT!")

There’s always something I can do

to help me through the tough times in life.

 

  At the end of the performance children will have a greater      awareness and understanding that:

 

• I am special, unique, colourful and perfect for what I am here to grow and learn through. As I am special so too are my family, friends and all who share in my day. 

• Every day I share and celebrate my special gifts and abilities (this most precious part of me) through what I think, feel, do and say… just by simply being me. 

• Choice is my greatest power.  I can choose a life skill or two to help me when I feel sad, scared, angry or uncomfortable.

• ‘My Hand of Trust’ offers me wonderful helpful support from family, friends and those in authority i.e. teachers and police…I am my own best friend and offer myself positive encouragement and big hugs, and that when things get tough, I remember, 'it’s only a moment in time.'

• I love to share my feelings and whenever I feel angry, upset or scared, I can take ‘time out,’ call for help and feel my peace once again. 

• I am my own best friend and can think my happy thoughts, give myself positive encouragement and a hug, reminding myself, that when things get touch, 'It's only a moment in time' and I am able to choose a life skill or two, to help me through this challenging moment.

• When each challenge comes my way, all I need to say to myself is “I CAN DO IT!” And give it a go.

• As I choose to offer my gift of being respectful, kind, caring and supportive, I express myself in loving ways.

 

Together with the puppet Ozzie and Talk-About-Bear, important life skills (both within songs and stories) are taught, encouraging children to be open in heart and mind, bringing about peace, harmony and joy to their day.

I and I alone am responsible

for my thoughts, feelings, words and actions.

There’s always something I can do

to help me through the tough times in life.

 

   At the end of the performance children will have a greater awareness and understanding that:

 

• I appreciate and celebrate the wonderful qualities that lie within, just by simply being me.

• I am my talents, abilities and offer gifts of the heart such as compassion, courage, thoughtfulness, consideration, being responsible and respectful and I have a good sense of fun.​

• Choice is my greatest power.  I can choose to be kind and caring, to be brave, give encouragement and support to myself and others and accept this when given to me. I can choose to be positive or negative with what I think, feel, do and say at any moment in time.

• I am all I need to be to bring peace, harmony and joy to my day.                      (Enjoying my day, it’s all up to me!)

• Always there is ‘ability’ in ‘responsibility.’  I am able to offer my best at any given moment and my best varies as to how I am feeling at the time. (Happy/sad, angry/peaceful, tired/energetic)

• I am my own best friend and can think my happy thoughts, give myself positive encouragement and a warm hug, reminding myself, that when things get tough, ‘It’s just a moment in time’ I’m able to choose a life skill or two, to help me move through this challenging moment.

• Having the skills and ability to focus, build self-confidence and release anger & negativity, (in positive and productive ways) I move forward in my day, peaceful and open to what the next moment offers. 

• ‘My Hand of Trust’ offers me wonderful helpful support from family, friends and all those in authority (example my teachers and the police.) 

• As I fill my cup with kindness it can’t help but overflow! I am thoughtful, respectful, kind and caring in both my words and actions first to myself, then to those who share in my day.

• When each challenge comes my way, all I need to say is:
  "If it's safe, I CAN DO IT!" And give it my best.
