PERFORMANCE
Our earth is so precious to us all. We only have one earth to live upon and as is said in a retelling of ‘Ryan’s Story’ (A rhyming story made just for this performance) “It’s sort of like our backyard, doing our bit in keeping it clean isn’t very hard”.

Within this highly engaging preschool performance, young children reflect upon what they are able to do to save energy and help create a clean, healthy environment. Reflect, Recycle, Reuse and Reduce are themes explored through story and song throughout the show.

As the saying goes 'we can't give what we don't have,' thus we begin the show by having a greater understanding about how to care for ourselves, each other and together we see just what the environment is (air, water, land and sea) and how we can help care for where we live.
Children explore what goes in the recycling and compost bins, discover all about worms and what happens to the compost and where to put it, and enjoy celebrating 'turning something old into something new' helping reduce waste, whilst saving energy. Children are also given a greater awareness of Opshops, all that they offer, and how they help reduce the amount of reusable goods going to landfill.

A special edition of home-made percussive instruments constructed from recycled objects, lets children have hands-on experience of the theme ‘Reuse’, celebrating their role in caring for our world.
​
This Sustainability Performance runs for approximately 50 minutes to an hour.

Lisa has a great demeanour with the children, the children were really engaged.
