Responding with Ability: RESPECT
A values-based wellbeing performance for Kindergarten to Year 6

Responding with Ability: RESPECT is a music and storytelling performance designed to support children’s wellbeing, positive behaviour, and respectful relationships at school and beyond.

Through original songs and age-appropriate stories, students explore the value of respect through four key actions: responsibility, compassion, cooperation, and tolerance. These values help children understand how respect is lived out in everyday situations — caring for themselves and others, accepting differences, working together, and taking responsibility for their choices.

The performance builds practical life skills by encouraging students to pause, reflect, and recognise that there is always something they can do when faced with challenges. Messages are presented in a warm, engaging way that supports emotional literacy, self-regulation, empathy, and inclusion.

These materials provide extra opportunities for students to explore respect, responsibility, compassion, cooperation, and tolerance — helping embed the values into daily learning and school routines.
