Our preschool music incursions are playful, interactive and perfectly suited for early learners. Through songs, rhythm and movement, children explore important social and emotional skills such as kindness, sharing, confidence and self-expression.

Each performance also introduces sustainability themes in age-appropriate ways—encouraging children to care for the earth, respect living things, and make simple choices that support a brighter future.

Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), our shows help create a calm, connected and joyful start to school life, while planting early seeds of environmental awareness alongside emotional wellbeing.

Our earth is precious—we only have one to live on. As shared in my rhyming picture book Ryan’s Story, written to support this performance:

“It’s sort of like our backyard,
doing our bit in keeping it clean isn’t very hard.”

In this highly engaging preschool music performance, children reflect on the simple things they can do to help create a clean, healthy world. Themes of Reflect, Recycle, Reuse and Reduce are explored through story and song in a way young learners can easily understand and enjoy.

Songs featured in this colourful performance include:

  • Be

  • I Care

  • Turning Something Old Into Something New

  • Let’s All Care For Mother Earth

  • What Goes In The Recycling Bin?

  • Thank You For Caring For Me

  • It’s A Happy Day

The show begins with the reminder that “we can’t give what we don’t have.” Children first learn about caring for themselves and each other, before exploring how to care for the environment—our air, water, land and sea.

Through music and interactive activities, children will:

  • Explore ways to save energy, highlighting electricity and water conservation

  • Investigate water tanks and rainwater use

  • Discover what belongs in recycling and compost bins

  • Learn about worms and the composting cycle

  • Celebrate “turning something old into something new” to reduce waste

  • Understand how Op shops give goods a second life while reducing landfill

  • Play along with home-made percussion instruments created from recycled objects, reinforcing the joy of “Reuse”

This lively sustainability performance runs for approximately 50–60 minutes and is available for $330 per show.

Lisa has a great demeanour with the children, the children were really engaged.  We looked at recycling, composting, using less water and electricity, opshopping, reusing household items and we danced and sang. There was so much information that the children learnt which we can now take and further and expand upon.  We had a fantastic morning!
