Ryan's Story is a rhyming PDF picture book that celebrates sustainability, encouraging children to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rethink.
When I read it aloud, the children join in by making Mrs Crow’s call — “Ahhh!” — whenever her page appears, which they love. I also link the “Ah!” sound to switching on a light, helping children connect with new understanding.
The book can be printed in A3 or A4 and works beautifully in a 20-pocket display book for preschool and primary classrooms.
